A woman may join “Power of the Purse” with a gift of $1,000 or more made in her name in one of the following three ways:

  • An individual, personal gift of $1,000 or more

  • A joint gift with her spouse of $2,000 or more

  • An endowment gift of $5,000 or more – women who make a contribution at this level will be recognized as legacy “Power of the Purse” members for a period of five years

Current POP Membership

In 2010, 554 POP members raised more than $901,000 toward meeting needs and improving the quality of life for individuals, families and children in the Big Bend area. We are grateful to these women for their generosity and investment of their time, talents and treasures toward creating positive, lasting change in our community.

  • Raises awareness of the growing influence and economic empowerment of women
